Domestic Violence Awareness Week

💜 The sisters of the Beta Charter of Sigma Psi Zeta Sorority, Inc. at Binghamton University would like to invite you to our Domestic Violence Awareness Week! October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and between October 21-22, come and join the sisters of the Beta Charter to learn more about our cause and what you can do to take a stand against domestic violence. 💜 Monday 10/21 @ UU108 5-7pm 🎨 PAINT IT PURPLE 🎨 Channel your inner Bob Ross and join the sisters of Sigma Psi Zeta as we paint our philanthropy! Create inspirational words for survivors of domestic violence and spread awareness of domestic violence awareness month. Tuesday 10/22 @ Marketplace 12-4pm 💟 PURPLE RIBBON TABLING 💟 Join us at our tabling event and learn more about the importance of raising awareness for domestic violence. Wear the purple ribbon to show support for domestic violence survivors and help raise awareness. Wednesday 10/23 @ UU215 4-5pm 🥋 SELF DEFENSE WORKSHOP 🥋 Pull through to our workshop with KungFu club to learn some kick-ass moves. Thursday 10/24 @ Marketplace 12-4pm 🧁 PHILANTHROPY BAKE SALE + WEAR PURPLE🧁 All proceeds will be donated to YWCA, a non-profit organization whose mission is to eliminate racism and empower women. The YWCA of Binghamton and Broome County help women who are struggling with homelessness and abuse. We chose to donate to YWCA because their mission and vision fit perfectly with our own national philanthropy: to combat violence against women. On Thursday we wear purple! Thursdays of October are Wear Purple for Domestic Violence Awareness! Show support for those affected by domestic violence by wearing something purple with us. 💜 ABOUT US 💜 Sigma Psi Zeta Sorority, Inc. (ΣΨΖ) is the FIRST multi-cultural Asian-interest Greek organization established on the East Coast on March 23rd 1994. The Beta Charter was found on January 4th, 1995 at Binghamton University. We are an Asian-interest but not Asian exclusive sorority. Sigma Psi Zeta is a cultural, social, educational, and community service oriented sorority. 💜 OUR PHILANTHROPY 💜 The National Philanthropy of Sigma Psi Zeta is to combat the violence against women in its varied forms.
